Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about products or promotions.
• Resolve customer issues and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Cash Handling:

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment securely.
• Provide correct change to customers and maintain a balanced cash drawer.

Checkout Efficiency:

• Scan and bag items quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure that all items are properly priced and labeled.
• Monitor and manage the checkout area to avoid congestion and maintain a smooth flow of customers.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail:

• Double-check prices and quantities to ensure accurate transactions.
• Verify age-restricted purchases and follow company policies.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

• Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
• Monitor and restock bags, receipt paper, and other supplies as needed.
• Assist with general store cleanliness and restocking tasks during slow periods.

Qualifications:

• Degree in any related field
• Proven experience 3 years as a cashier or in a customer service role is a plus.
• Strong numerical and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with POS systems.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
