EGPAF works in partnership with the Ministry of Health NACC and the Regional and District Health Teams to support HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment and health systems strengthening services. EGPAF is mainly funded by PEPFAR through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Purpose of the Job
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is seeking to recruit two HIV Testing Services Advisors to be based in the Yaoundé. The PMTCT/MNC/FP/RH Technical Advisor is responsible for providing overall leadership, coordination and management for the implementation of high quality PMTCT/MNCH/FP/RH services in the Littoral and Centre regions. S/he will provide technical oversight and capacity building for EGPAF PMTCT teams in the Littoral and Centre regions and the health care workers in supported sites to assure delivery of quality, relevant and quantifiable services. S/he will ensure all EGPAF staffs and HCWs have capacity/skills to manage, deliver and sustain provision of comprehensive HIV care, treatment and prevention services for pregnant and lactating women, HEI and HII while integrating these services with MNCH/FP/RH services in MCH and CWC settings. S/he will support the DELTA Project Management Team in standardizing quality by ensuring that the cluster based PMTCT Program Officers are carrying out continuous quality improvement, tracking key performance indicators and strategies to determine progress and innovations across supported districts, will take lead in the planning of health systems support and health systems strengthening activities designed to increase quality of HIV care and treatment and MNCH programs, build capacity of supported health management team members in the two regions and EGPAF staffs with an aim of building sustainable competencies and skills.
