JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER AT ACMS
CONTEXT AND JUSTIFICATION
ACMS (Association Camerounaise pour le Marketing Social) is recruiting (01) financial controller. The successful senior official shall be mainly responsible for developing, coordinating and administering all financial operations of the programmer, including record, documents, monitoring, auditioning and reporting as per the requirements of this office. He shall also provide managerial and technical expertise to coordination activities of financial services within a multi-project and multi donor management structure whose activities are deployed over ten(10) regions through four (04) regional offices.
ACMS is a member of the Population Services International (PSI) network. PSI is an internationally renowned organization, which operates in the health sector and whose programmers are oriented toward malaria, child survival, HIV, and reproductive health.
Duty station: Yaoundé
Type of employment contract: two year (02) fixed term contract in view of an unlimited term contract
Start date: 1st March 2015
Category: category 12, grade B of the II tertiary sector of the National Collective Trade Agreement
Required qualifications and professional experience
- Be of Cameroonian nationality;
- Educational training at the level of BAC/GCA ‘A’+ 5 (preferably a MBA in management, economy, finance, accounting, business management)
- Eight to ten (08 to 10) years of experience in finance, especially budgeting, financial reporting accounting, aid/contract management in a non-profit organization, and business management in developing countries.
- Must have at least five to seven (5 to 7) years of relevant professional experience in areas of responsibility, including at least five (5) years experiences as manager of e team of 7 to 10 persons within an organization;
- At least five (5) years experiences as head of financial department in a structure with a level of activity that could be linked to that of ACMS is a plus
- Must have a good mastery of OHADA accounting systems
- Must have knowledge and experience of international NGO operations and systems, as well as common management software (SAGE, QUICK, BOOK…)
- Be familiar with donor procedures such as: USAID, global fund, EU, and kFW
- Must have an experience in sub-recipients/pertners’contract management;
- Management audit skills in order to respond to ACMS’ audit recommendations and be able to improve operations accordingly
- Good mastery of word processing software (Word, Excel, Power point)
- Languages: must be fluent in either English or French
- Have good writing skills;
- Required key skills: coaching & mentoring skills, communicate convincingly, facilitate change/innovation, proactive, result-oriented management that guarantees success, negotiation skills, as well as planning and organizational skills.
Required qualifications and professional experience
- Must have a sound knowledge of accounting and finance;
- Must have strong analytical skills and pay attention to details;
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines;
- Be skilled at building synergies within to organization and influence senior management, demonstrate team spirit, be proactive, and know how to provide structure guidelines
- Ability to set relevant priorities within the financial department;
- Must have a proven experience in financial and non-financial staff training;
- Must have very good mastery of English and Excel;
- Knowledge of financial reporting, aid/contract management, business management in developing countries.
