Context and justification 

ACMS (Association Camerounaise pour le Marketing Social) is recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor within the Executive Direction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

• Assessing the procedures and policies in place and make appropriate recommendations for their improvement; develop and ensure the operational implementation of an audit plan for the platform; develop and coordinate all the internal and external audit activities of ACMS; ensure systematic monitoring of risks.

The Senior Internal Auditor is a key member of ACMS' senior management team(SMT) and shall for this reason ensure the implementation of the SMT recommendations, as well as resolutions of the Board of Directors relating to procedures and policies.

ACMS is a member or population services international (PSI) network. PSI is an internationally renowned organization, which operates in the health Sector and whose programmers are oriented toward malaria, child survival, HIV and reproductive health.

Required qualifications, professional experience, and technical skills

• Must be of Cameroonian nationality;
• Education: Must hold a university degree equivalent to a Bacc or GCE 'A' +4/5 in Accounting-Management-Audit/Finance, or any other related degree.
• Experience: Must have at least eight(8) years of relevant experience in audit management in an international non-government organisation or a private company, specially with at least five(5) years spent in an accounting firm.
• Must have experience and knowledge of international NGO systems.
• Be familiar with donor procedures such as: USAID, Global Fund, EU and KFW
• Languages: Must be fluent in either English or French, and have a good mastery of the other language.
• Key competences: have very extensive knowledge in accounting, finance and audit procedures; analytical skills and attention to details; coaching & monitoring skills; communicate with impact; facilitate change/innovation; be proactive; results oriented management for guaranteed success; negotiation skills, planning and organization skills.

• Have a good public relation skills;
• Be honest and demonstrate a commitment and ability to work in harmony with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures;
• Ability to demonstrate skills in managing human relations, communication, and the development of individuals;
• Have analytical and strategic thinking abilities, as well as result-oriented management skills;
• Have a structured mind and good skills in oral and written communication;
• Be able to work under pressure and carry out self-assessments.
