The delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross for Central Africa in Yaoundé is looking for a candidate for the following post:

Logistician (M/HW)
(For a period of 12 months)

Standard function description:

• Supply-chain management and planning (manages and follows up on requests, provides customer desk service and carries out related reporting);
• Participation in purchase planning (purchase orders, request orders, supplier files etc.);
• Warehouse management;
• Implementation and follow-up for financial and administrative procedures;
• Fleet management;
• Import-export activities;
• Trains ICRC staff in logistics procedures.

Minimum required knowledge & experience:

• University degree or equivalent experience;
• Good command (spoken and written) of English and/or French;
• Computer proficiency / Good command of IT tools (Word and Excel);
• Three years' professional experience, preferably in commercial, military or humanitarian logistics;
• Positive attitude, open-mindedness, sensitivity to cultural diversity;
• Ability to take initiatives and fulfill responsibilities, within the framework of assigned tasks;
• Flexibility, willingness to learn, commitment;
• Flexibility to travel outside the country in case of needs;
• Sense of initiative, of confidentiality and tolerance;
• ICRC field experience an asset.

Starting date: As soon as possible
