CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF REGIONAL STOREKEEPER AT THE AMCS OFFICE IN GARAOUA
Background and rationale:
The Cameroon Association for Social Marketing (ACMS) is seeking to recruit a Storekeeper (M/F) for the ACMS office in Douala.
The successful candidate will have as principal missions to maintain the Douala Office store and ensure that it complies with regulatory standards.
ACMS is a network member of Population Services International (PSI). PSI is a globally-renowned health organization with programs targeting malaria, child survival, HIV and reproductive health.
Duty station: Douala
Type of contract: 2 (two) years fixed-term (CDD) with open-ended (CDI) renewal option
Date of start of employment: October 2018
Position level: 8th category, level D of tertiary sector II of the Collective Agreement on Trade.
Job Description
Under the Administrative supervision of the Zone I Regional Manager and Technical supervision of the Supplies, Compliance and Quality Monitoring Officer, the Regional Storekeeper in the Douala Office will have the following responsibilities.
I- SUPPORT TO SUPPLY OPERATIONS:
- Organize the receipt of packages according to the planning transmitted by the supplies department:
- Review, with the Stores Assistant, the content of each delivery;
- Prepare the shipment of customer orders and/or transfers to regions on the basis of purchase orders for authorized stocks;
- Support, when need arises, in tracking product supply files.
II- PARTICIPATION IN THE STORAGE OF PRODUCTS:
- Ensure daily control product storage by guaranteeing full compliance with PSI Minimum Global Storage Requirements and in accordance with the FEFO (first expired – first out) rule;
- Ensure daily recording and analysis of temperatures and humidity levels in each store and submit monthly data to the Supplies, Compliance and quality Monitoring Officer;
- Control the proper functioning of the cold chain for ethical product s and inform hierarchy in case of problem identified;
- Transmit to the Regional Manager and the Supplies, Compliance and quality Monitoring Officer information about events related to the storage conditions of products that occurred at the store.
III- MANAGEMENT OF STORE STOCKS OF PACKAGING AND PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL PRODUCTS
- Manage stocks of stored products;
- Ensure the updating of stock cards and tools at each movement of stocks (registers, stock physical and electronic forms;
- Prepare and organize periodic store inventories;
- Participate in the drafting of inventory reports with the accounting department;
- Ensure the drafting of monthly expiry and inventory movement reports and submit them to the Supplies, Compliance and Quality Monitoring Officer within the required deadlines;
- Inform the Regional Manager and the Supplies, Compliance and Quality Monitoring Officer about events that occur in the store (e.g. reaching of critical thresholds, arrival of products, alerts, etc.);
- Provide information relay to the Headquarters on any other event related to the stores.
IV- PARTICIPATION IN STORE AND EQUIPMENT HYGIENE
- Organize and participate in store, product storage spaces, and equipment maintenance activities according to the schedule established by the senior storekeeper;
- Report to the Regional Manager and Supplies Coordinator all observed data on the state of store facilities or requirement;
- Perform all other duties related to his/her activities.
Skills, Qualifications and professional experience required
- Be of Cameroonian nationality or be authorized to work in Cameroon;
- Holder of at least a BAC +2 (GCE A-Level + 2) in the following disciplines: logistic or supply chain management, accounting or management.
- A training in stock management would be an asset;
- Have at least 3 (three) years of professional experience in a similar position;
- Be fluent in French and/or English and have a mastery of the other language;
- Have a good command of computer tools and software: office Word pack and especially Excel;
- A sound understanding of the NGO environment would be an asset.
