The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 19 countries and at over 5,500 sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to children, and to help those already infected. Today, because of the highly successful work of the Foundation and its partners, pediatric AIDS has been virtually eliminated in the United States. EGPAF works in partnership with the Ministry of Health NACC and the Regional and District Health Teams to support HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment and health systems strengthening services. EGPAF is mainly funded by PEPFAR through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Purpose of the Job
Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation will conduct a study to learn about why men do not want to receive HIV testing. It therefore intends to hire short-term data collectors for a period of at least three months, possibly four months.
Job Summary
The Study Coordinator must be a self-motivated individual who is experienced in qualitative research methods. This role will include supervising the Research Assistants (RAs) to conduct in-depth interviews with men in the community. The Study Coordinator will observe interviews and provide feedback, listen to audio-recordings and confirm the translations, check the informed consent forms for completeness, compile the demographic data collected by the RAs and main the regulatory binder for the study.
