Job Title: Mechanichal Shift Technician - GCSA

SCOPE
The Mechanical Shift Technician is ideally an individual with packaging operational and engineering experience. He is responsible for maintaining plant and machinery on shift to carry out packaging activities in order to meet the increasing volume and quality demands in a reliable and cost effective manner.
PURPOSE
- To produce Guinness products at customer service levels, quality conformance and within budget.
- To apply technical process, continuous improvement and individual/team development skills to optimise overall brewery improvement and plant performance.
- To adopt a safe and professional approach to all aspects of the role as an individual/team player.
- Apply Management system procedures related to his job or working area
- Participate to Internal quality audits
- Help to put in place and apply LTO and ISO 9001& FSSC 22000 requirements
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- HND/BTS/DUT in any Electrical Field or Probatoire/Equivalent with at least 3 years’ experience in Industry.
- Working knowledge of computers
- Demonstrate detailed understanding of Permit to Work system and GCSA SHE policies, statutory requirements and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate understanding of teamwork principles, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance and problem solving.
- Basics in English/French is required
- Team Player
ACCOUNTABILITIES
As Mechanical Shift Technician - Packaging, you should be able to:
- To diagnose, troubleshot and repair faults on production lines as well as carrying out routine maintenance.
- To suggest improvements in the operation, seek approval and implement To establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and to work flexibly with them
- To train operational team members to perform minor maintenance tasks and to assist in major repairs To act at all times within the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act To maintain a records system giving details of stoppages with actions to correct To work shifts as required to cover the needs of the factory
- To attend to breakdowns throughout the shift, and to ensure plant is down for least time possible.
- To ensure all Preventive Maintenances allocate are done and to follow up with any feedback to the engineering planner/ Packaging Engineer/ Line shift Supervisor
- To ensure the correct escalation process is followed in the event of an out of hour’s problem occurring.
- To follow up line problems and to develop solutions in cooperation with the Line Engineer
- To ensure all plan of greasing/ oiling (Mechanic) the Machine are execute on shift and daily basis
- Ensure welding job (Mechanic) on your line are execute on shift and daily basis in respect to the safety requirement
- Ensure all machine on your line are running at the required efficiency/ speed, so to achieved the team OEE
- Reduced maintenance cost by working like a turner to fixed some spares needed (Mechanic)
- Ensure all oil leak are identify and the leak close on shift basis (Mechanic)
