Plan Cameroon is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Sponsorship Support Manager.

 

Purpose of the role

The Sponsorship Support Manager coordinates and manages the achievement of country goals in sponsorship caseload management, building relationships, and development education. He/She develops capabilities among Plan staff, partners, children and communities in building relationship between people of differents cultures. He/She is part of the country management team.

Main responsibilities-Key End Results of the Position:

  • Establish, implement and monitor accountability standards of effectiveness and efficiency in the achievement of sponsorship goals.
  • Establish effective working relationships with National Offices
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data, timeliness and quality of all sponsorship communication products.
  • Ensure NOIs(National Organisational Inquiries) are responded on a timely and quality manner
  • Ensure that agreed growth and phase in/phase out plans are effectively managed and met.
  • Develops, motivates, coaches and manages direct reports and promote high performance.
  • Promotes innovations and learning.
  • Ensure effective management of sponsor visits, taking into account Plan Child protection policy.
  • Ensure the compliance and application of sponsorship policies and procedures.
  • Support the Human Resources Departement in the recruitment and orientation of new staff in Sponsorship.
  • Coordinate the production of area documents
  • Work closely and maintain high with PUMs, Front line staff and sponsorship staff etc keeping them informed of changes in sponsorship or in policies and ensuring their adherence.
  • Establish high and cordial working relationship with National organizations ensuring that their queries are responded on time and that they are kept informed on sponsorship transactions affecting them.
  • Maintain hing working relationship with the Regional Sponsorship Coordinators in the application and rollout of new sponsorship products and the application of new sponsorship orientations as directed by the Regional office.
  • Develop networking relationship with well trained, committed and competent staff and volunteers to ensure accurate collection of data and quality sponsorship communications practices are shared.
  • Keep the Country Director, CMT(Country Management Team) Members, Program Unit Managers, Sponsorship staff and Communication department informed of sponsorship events and performance on a regular basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Required to achieve Role's objectives:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: University Degree
  • Five years progressive professional experience both in sponsorship and programs including at least three in management position.

Knowledge

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and proven ability and willingness to learn other languages
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office including words, excel, power point, internet, etc).

Skills

  • Strong team building and motivational skills
  • Strong facilitation, training and presentation skills

Behaviours

  • Demonstrated record of excellence in sponsorship and strong knowledge of project Management in particular and program activities in general

Physical Environment and Demands:

Typical environment; some field visit required from time to time, about 30% of working time.
