INTERNSHIP ADVERT: Journalism and Public Relation Intern

Journalism & Public Relations Intern

Journalism and Public Relations Intern will have as principal mission, to assist the PR Manager in writing articles that talk about the various AIG Ventures (Kaymu, Carmudi, Lamudi, Jovago, Jumia) activities in Cameroon, being in touch with local online and offline media contacts, and then helping to choose appearance platforms with professional networking.

Roles & Responsibilities : 

Press/Media

• Find opportunities for local media appearances ;
• Create relations with local media journalists and activists, and find means that can allow them talking about us as far as possible ;
• Propose relevants topics and interesting content for weekly newspapers articles ;

Blog

• Offer interesting content for the ventures’ blogs ;
• Help writing articles for Kaymu blog : http://blog.cm.kaymu.com/;
• Help writing articles for Carmudi and Lamudi blogs (Launched in a few moment) ;

Communication 

• Realization of annex media documents (Press files, cultural actions, etc.) ;
• Organization and follow of communication supports diffusion ;
• Participation in organizing press conferences ;
• Participation in welcoming and information of journalists in public events ;
• Management of public targeted documents ;

Essential skills : 

• Good writing skills (French and English)
• Degree in Communication and Public Relations
• Excellent skills in using Google and Microsoft Tools.
• Strong computer skills is a must.
