Angular/NodeJS Internship Software engineering
We are seeking a passionate and talented Technical Support Intern to assist both our AI and software developing teams. This internship will provide an exciting and unique opportunity to make a contribution towards the growth of a starting company with a brilliant future in the hydropower field. As a support Intern, you will work closely with the Lead AI developer and the Lead Software developer, to bridge the gap between them
Essential Job Functions Requirements,
- Support the software developing team in eventual programming tasks
- Perform statistical analysis on big data sets
- Work with other team members to develop machine learning models
- Suggest any new AI-oriented idea (either other than the goals proposed or reinforcing the goals proposed)
- Test regularly the “TGM Manager” software for bugs and functionality
- Collect and report feedback from customers about their use of the “TGM Manager” software
- Respond to requests for service (through our platform Trello), troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions.
- Work with the software developing team to ensure a coherent integration between AI and the core software Develop programming and AI skills
- Perform various necessary tasks (IT, documentation, etc)
Qualifications and Skill Sets Working Conditions
- Holds a University degree in computer science, Data Science, or any related field.
- Experience with Angular, CSS and HTML is an asset
- Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
- Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the world
- Experience with cloud environments
- Understanding of common programming languages, such as Javascript, Node JS, Typescript, Python Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns
- Have a laptop (with 16 GB RAM least) and good internet connection throughout the internship
- Excellent communication skills (speaking and writting) to explain things to non-technical stakeholders.
