In the context of the prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDS (PMTCT Project) in the Districts Health Center of Wum (North West) and Meiganga (Adamaroua), Plan Cameroon is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, development oriented and hardworking Cameroonian to fulfill the position of Project Coordinator to be based in its country Office (Yaounde) but with frequent visits in the field and project areas. The contract is for (Eighteen) 18 months renewable. It will be governed by Cameroon Labour Law.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
Under the technical supervision of the Program Operation Manager, the Project Coordinator will among many other tasks:
- Ensure the monitoring of activities on the field so as to guarantee that they are in accordance with the planning of the project and plan Cameroon’s objectives, strategies and procedures;
- Ensure the full participation of all the stake holders in all stages of the project cycle;
- Carry out field visit to monitor an supervise in each health area with partners on both administrative and financial procedures
- Ensuring the cost/effectiveness of activities
- Organize staff meeting for the project, approve reports and action plans of monitoring and evaluation specialists as well as data specialist;
- Write and submit monthly reports, interim, quarterly and annual reports of the project, as well as all useful reports to be submitted to the Program Support Manager;
- Facilitate the project participatory evaluation according to Plan Cameroon principle and procedure;
- Provide a necessary support of activities through monitoring, evaluation and research or even all the visit lead by plan and/or its partners within the framework of the project;
- Ensure that in the implementation of the project, the results gotten from the project evaluation and recommendations by hierarchy and partners are taken into consideration;
- Assemble all necessary information for the reporting of the project for donors;
- Ensure disciple, team spirit and hardworking within the project team;
- Ensure a good quality of intervention at the level of beneficiaries, in the relationship with partners (health districts, health areas, councils, competent decentralized technical system, communities, etc.) as well as at the level of plan;
- The project coordinator will equal ensure the link between the project and other projects put in place by plan;
- Accomplish all tasks given by the supervisor including management support to other grants support teams
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- The applicant should have at least a bachelor Degree in nursing, Public Health, Social Sciences or equivalent
- Have at least 03 years continue working experience in the management of community health project;
- Experience in project management in resource poor settings would be highly appreciated;
- Be bilingual ( proper reading, speaking and writing of English and French
- Have a good mastery of computer tools and have a good aptitude in project reporting.
