PURPOSE
GCSA is migrating from providing direct credit to its distributors to a scheme where a bank will provide revolving credit to these distributors. There are certain inherent process risks that have been identified which would require close monitoring throughout the life of the project.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bilingual French / English
- SAP & Microsoft Office fluency
- Financially literate (P&L, Balance sheet, cash flow management, ROI, etc…) with good analytical skills
- Customer focus and orientation and is able to leverage SLA to improve performance
- Capable of establishing a good rapport with stakeholders – distributors, Sales, bankers, Finance, Customer service delivery, etc…
- Strong oral and written communication skills; is capable of explaining the key issues to bankers, sales and distributors. Seeks to enhance and improve own output and that of the team
- Proven ability to facilitate, persuade, influence and build credibility with all levels and all functions.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a banking operations, multinational FMCG OTC and outbound / distributor stock management operations or audit environment, with a good commercial acumen
ACCOUNTABILITIES
As PTP Coordinator WACA, you should be able to:
Close monitoring of end to end operations:
- Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness in placement of revolving credit (overdraft) or any other (medium term loan) facility in the customer’s bank account.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness in the execution of distributor’s Loading Orders by GCSA.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness in the collection of sales proceeds (net cash after reconciliation) from distributor and posting into the distributor’s account in the bank.
Facilitate the removal of any blockers in the end to end process:
- Prepare monthly Management Service Review Pack for management on the functioning of the end to end operations of the DFS.
- Set up standing SLA meetings with the bank and distributors to review progress on ongoing initiatives aimed at improving the performance of the DFS operations.
Provide sound financial insights and data enlightening distributors’ financial health
- Detailed analyses and recommendations to improve Distributors financial health, including P&L performance with standard operating costs, cost of capital, working capital, cash flow (current and future In & out flows), ROI, risks & mitigation, distributors assessments, etc…
- Training the distribution team in efficiently use financial information & simple tools to drive growth in their respective territory.
Commercial lead within the S&OP process.
- Centralize sales forecasting and ensure delivery of accuracy KPIs, through accuracy in Distributors Cash forecast
- Support Head of Distribution with risk /opportunity analysis on sales forecast coming from Distributors Managers from orders financing perspectives .
Balance Revolving Credit (overdraft) Facility Review :
- Work with Sales, the credit controller and the bank to propose quarterly amendments to the revolving credit facility with a view to ensuring that the level of credit granted is adequate and reflects the need of the distributor and historical use of the facility.
