JOB ADVERT: CONTENT ACQUISITION EXECUTIVE

BOOMPLAY, the largest music streaming service in Africa is looking for a Content Acquisition Executive for Francophone Regions. They will report to the Chief Content Officer providing critical support in deal negotiation, execution.

Key Accountability:

• Negotiate licensing agreement deals with labels and artists for their catalogue and repertoire to bring top quality content for Boomplay’s users.

Qualifications and experience:

• Min bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Negotiation;
• Over 2 years working experience, at least 1 relevant year in negotiation/sales experience ;
• Prior experience in music industry preferred ;
• Direct contacts with music labels and artists preferably;
• Knowledge of market specific players across Francophone region.

• Clear, concise communication skills ;
• Strong analytical capabilities and superior judgment, even when the rules are unclear and the issues are of first impression;
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to pivot quickly, fluidly and act in the best interests of the company at all times;
• Ability to think commercially and be solution-oriented;
• Motivated, self-starter with a keen interest in and aptitude for finding great content from all over the region.
