JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious inter-continental dishes and local meals according to the menu proposed by our contractors. You will cook meals that will be in line with our contractors tastes and serve them appropriately and on time. We want an excellent cook who can follow instructions and deliver well-prepared meals. You must be experienced in using various ingredients and cooking techniques. You must make sure all food follows hygiene and regular standard.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up the kitchen with all the needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.
• Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen and follow up on all sanitation procedures.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Check the quality of all ingredients before their usage to prepare meals.
• Monitor stock and informed the kitchen chef to place orders when there are shortages.
• Excellent physical condition and stamina.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Very good communication skills
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management.

PREREQUISITES

• A diploma in cookery or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a cook.
•  Be able to read, speak, and write, English and French.
