Positions: 7 Data Clerks

Duration and type of contract: 12 months full time renewable

Location: Yaounde Jamot Hospital, Abong-Mbang District Hospital, Limbe Regional Hospital, Kumba Regional Hospital, Bamenda Regional Hospital, Batibo District Hospital and Ndop District Hospital.

Background:

R4D International (R4DI) is a research foundation promoting evidence-based practices in health and development (www.r4dinternational.org). This organization is recruiting research officers and data clerks to monitor ongoing research projects, ensuring implementation of data collection protocol, data quality assessment and providing weekly and monthly reports of activities to R4DI.

Overview of the role:

Under the direct supervision of the site supervisor, the incumbent will:

• Participate in data collection for relevant studies;
• Monitor data collection on daily basis;
• Ensure data quality at every level in data collection process;
• Identify, troubleshoot and report data collection problems;
• Supervise all data collection activities including primary and secondary data collection;
• Enter data into the project database on daily basis;
• Provide weekly report on data collection to the research officer/project coordinator;
• Co-supervises the performance of project staff;
• Participate in all project evaluation meetings as required;
• Performed other duties as requested.

Qualification Requirements:

• Higher Professional Diploma in health related field, 
• Minimum of 2 years experience in research/project management; 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English,
• Good command of French will be an asset,
• Ability to start work immediately
