JOB ADVERT : LOUNGE / RESTAURANT SERVER

Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and Mise en Place:
- Ensure the restaurant/lounge is fully prepared before service, including cleaning floors and bathroom, setting up tables, polishing glassware, and organizing workstations.
- Stock and replenish service items such as napkins, cutlery, and condiments.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow.
2. Service:
- Welcome and seat guests, presenting menus and making recommendations.
- Take and serve food and drink orders promptly and accurately.
- Ensure guests have an exceptional dining experience by being attentive and accommodating special requests.
- Process bills and payments efficiently.
3. Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the service area throughout the shift.
- Clear and reset tables promptly.
- Follow cleaning schedules for all equipment and spaces within the restaurant/lounge.
4. Client Satisfaction:
- Address and resolve guest complaints or escalate them to management when necessary.
- Engage with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat visits.
5. Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. (3 – 5 years)
Education: Background in hospitality management or related training is advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills in (Must speak French, addition of English is preferred)
- Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Professionalism:
- Neat and presentable appearance at all times.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Friendly and courteous demeanor with a focus on client satisfaction.
Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours and work at night (typical shift is from 4 pm to 12.30 am), and late hours when required.
