VACANCY: Driver - Campo Ma'an

Responsibilities

• Provide driving and logistical support services as assigned and ensure the assigned vehicle is always clean (Note: cleaning of the vehicle should not interfere with other assignments).
• Ensure the assigned vehicle is serviced on schedule and its insurances are valid.
• Ensure that the vehicle has log sheets and the same are regularly filled-in, approved and submitted got accounting in time.
• Track the fuel and other AWF equipment and report to supervisor
• Ensure that the vehicle data contained on the maintenance records are accurate and updated regularly and the reports are submitted on time for approval by accounting.
• Provide services to the supervisor and other staff to ensure successful field visits.
• Provide administrative support services, including photocopying and binding, filing, archiving and delivery of mail in the office, as requested from time to time.
• Run errands and other services as needed.
• Perform other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Have a minimum of secondary school certificate.
• Have a clean and valid driving license.
• Have a mechanics certificate (an added advantage)
• 10 years’ experience driving 4x4 vehicles at least 5 years within a project, an NGO or an international organization
• Be able to operate office machinery.
• Mechanic experience is an advantage
• Good knowledge of AWF’s conservation area is an advantage
• Be willing to travel remote and sometimes harsh environment.
• Desire to learn about the organization.
• Commitment to AWF and its mission
• Have a good knowledge of the area of intervention
• Fluency in French. Knowledge or understanding of English is an advantage
