IT OFFICER FOR THE GLOBAL HEALTH SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS(GHSS)

GHSS is a non-governmental and non-profit making organization dedicated to seeking innovative solutions to strengthen health systems in developing countries for effective service delivery ans surveillance of infectious, non-infectious, and neglected tropical diseases. We focus in three key areas: improve laboratory systems and services critical for disease management, surveillance, and prevention; enhance field surveillance and epidemiological training for relevant animal and human-health to mitigate threats posed by diseases; and improve service delivery at all health levels.

Purpose: We are currently seeking an outstanding individual with IT expertise.

Expertise: IT Network, Software and hardware engineer

Successful candidate will perform the following:

• Will be expected to install, run and maintain GHSS server and computer networks in the office.
• Will be expected to modernize GHSS website, e-mail system(improving it from the Webmail that is presently)
• Manager GHSS e-mail system to ensure that all are registered and it runs smoothly
• Hardware and software maintenance of GHSS computers and communications networks.
• Ensuring weekly updates of the GHSS websites.
• Provide IT support to implementation of Laboratory Informations Systems(LIS).

Contract Period: 1 year, renewable

Salary: Very competitive and negotiable

Qualification

• Masters in Computer Engineering or any IT related discipline with at least 3 years hands on experiences working on similar assignments.
