within the context of Emergency Response to Refugees from Centra Africa Republic Plan Cameroon is urgently seeking to recruit experienced, enthusiastic, humanitarian-oriented and hardworking Cameroonian for six months duration to fulfill the positions below. While funding is only guaranteed for 6 months at the point of advertising, Plan is seeking longer-term funding and the operations in the East and Adamawa Regions will be operating for much longer than 6 months.

Title: One(01) Education in Emergency Coordinator to CAR Refugees-UNICEF

Duty Station: Bertoua

Purpose of the Role: Provie effective capacities and technical guidance in management including the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education related activities at the field levels.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Emergency Response Manager, the Education in Emergency Coordinator will among many other tasks perform the following:

• Contributing to the development of grants and program strategic documents in making sure that field realities are taken into account
• Contributing to the increase of local resources and projects sustainability in building long term relationship with local government and community based organizations including children/youth groups
• Ensuring that Program Units(PUs)' Program Outlines(POs) and budgets are properly developed and implemented as planned in developing monitoring tools to assess their implementation
• Ensuring that Plan's Child Centered Community Development(CCCD) approach is embedded in education and ECCD projects with consistent review of implementation strategy at the PU
• Promoting mainstream of the gender and inclusin in project and activity
• Supporting innovating and scalling up to the education and ECCD projects by sharing good practices
• Building capacity of field staff in facilitation, implementation and monitoring of Education and ECCD projects and activities in relevant techniques and approaches
• Contributing to behavior change of parents, children and youth in related hygiene and sanitation using ECCD as niche for such change.
• Facilitating the implementation of international, regional and national initiatives or campaigns such as "Because I'm a Girl(BIAAG)" at PU level
• Establishing local parternship or networks to enhance integration of education and ECCD with other projects in working closely with other PU project coordinators, field staff and with local NGO and government entities

Qualification and Experience

• Degree in development studies, Education or related fields
• At least 3 years practical experience working with NGOs in education or related projects
• Pratical and relevant experience of operating in emergency
