The EJF's Project Phase II(Appui à l'Education des Jeunes Filles dans l'arrondissement de Yaoundé II) is the logical continuation of Phase I, that has been proposed to move to a larger scale through the Briqueterie and around the district of Yaoundé II. It is a joint paternship between AFHADEV and Plan Cameroon to contribute to improving the access and quality of primary education for children in Cameroon.

Within this framework we are looking for potential Cameroonian candidates for a one year duration renewable contract to fulfill the positions below.

Title: One(01) Driver for "Education de la Jeune Fille Project"

Duty Station: Yaoundé(Biteng Program Unit)

Purpose of the Role: Ensure personnel and equipment transport, courier forwarding, and other tasks related to the project.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the authority of the Administrative Coordinator, the Driver will among other tasks perform the following:

• Ensure maintenance and safety of the vehicle and the passenger compartment;
• Driving staffs of the project, national and international visitors as well as materials and other supplies on the basis of a mission order;
• Keep the medecine chest and first aid kit in the vehicle;
• keep a logbook of all vehicle movements, goods and passengers;
• Observe the speed limit within the city and on the highways;
• Ensure compliance with Plan Cameroon Child Right Protection Policy;

Qualification and Experience

• BEPC or GCE Ordinary level;
• Have a valid driver's licence category D;
• Have at least 02 years of experience in the public secor or NGO.

Skills & Behaviours

• Be mature, with the ability to work long hours; which is a common feature for the demanding environment of NGOs.
• Be polite and clean;
• Be punctual and rigorous;
• Good knowledge of computer skills(Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Email, Internet);
• Have a basic knowledge of mechanics;
• Have a good command of English or French spoken and written.
